PlayStation 4® Women’s National Premier League

PlayStation 4® Women’s National Premier League

UQFC competes in the PlayStation 4® National Premier League Queensland competition in 2015.

The PlayStation 4® National Premier League Women’s competition is the elite club competition for women’s football in Queensland, sitting one tier below the Westfield W‐League. Each club serves as the elite player pathway for player development in defined catchment areas.

The National Premier League competition consists of 12 teams for U13s, U15s & and Senior women’s squads.

When do we play and train?

Teams play from February to September on a home and away ground format & games are generally played on Sundays but subject to change depending on Football Queensland scheduling. Training is held three times a week on midweek evenings (Tuesday and Thursday) plus a Strength and Conditioning session once a week for our U20 & Senior Women’s teams.

How are teams selected?

UQFC will announce trial dates in October/November each year with the process continuing right up until the start of the new academic year (end of February). Trials will be carried out with a highly experienced coaching staff selecting squads for the subsequent season.

How old must a player be to play senior women’s football?

Girls are allowed to play senior women’s football in the calendar year of their SIXTEENTH (16th) birthday.

What Kit do I need?

All players will be provided with a training kit pack that they must wear along with their football boots and shin guards. The Club will provide playing shirts that are returned to the club.

Who coaches PlayStation 4® Women’s National Premier League Football?

All teams have qualified, dedicated coaches and an assistant coach for each team with all coaching carried out in accordance with the FFA National Curriculum. The coaches will sit down with each individual player twice a year for assessments and feedback as well as monitor the athlete during the year.
