The UQFC Women’s football program competes in the Football Brisbane Premier League and City League competitions, providing a strong and competitive pathway for a range of player levels.
Each year UQFC Women nominate a range of teams in the Football Brisbane Premier and City league competitions, subject to player numbers. For the past few years UQFC has had teams compete in the Brisbane Premier League, City 1, City 2, City 3 ,City 4, City 5 leagues and the Over 30 Legend’s.
UQFC Women’s teams compete at the highest Football Brisbane level with teams in the Brisbane Women’s Premier league and Premier Reserves.
Between 2015 and 2017 UQFC also had Women’s teams in the National Premier League.
In 2017 UQFC won the Women’s Capital 1 competition and returned to the BWPL in 2018.
UQFC Women won the Football Brisbane City 1 Grand Final in 2016 and 2017 and our City 2 squad won Grand Finals in 2013 and 2014. Our City 3 and City 5 were Premiers in 2019.
UQFC has consistently fielded strong teams in the City league. Our City 2 teams won their competition in 2013 and 2014. The City 1 squad winning their Grand Final in 2016 and 2017.
UQFC Women’s is the traditional pathway for the UQFC Junior girls who are looking to continue to play competitive divisional level football.
Our City 4 & City 5 squad provides a friendly and welcoming way of joining the club if you are new to the game or your skills are not at a strong level.
UQFC always welcomes new to UQ students and new to Brisbane players who come from regional Queensland, across Australia and around the world.
Training for UQFC Women’s teams is held on week nights at Field 5 (Synthetic) or Field 9 at the St Lucia Campus. Check the UQFC Facebook page UQFCi or the web page www.uqfc.com.au for training times and days.
Qualified and dedicated coaches are provided by the club for our teams.
