UQFC runs a referee program for UQFC members or those associated with the club.

Due to a large number of applicants, our Club Referee program is now full for 2021.

Who can be a referee?

To join the MiniRoos referee program you must be:

  • 12 years or above from 1 January of this year, and;
  • be either a member of UQFC, or have a close affiliation to the club.

To join the junior referee program you must be:

  • 13 years or above from 1 January of this year (for assistant referee positions)
  • 14 years or above from 1 January of this year (for centre referee positions)

We also regularly recruit referees for senior games and welcome interest from parents or members of our senior playing group.

All UQFC junior club referees and club assistant referees will receive comprehensive training and ongoing mentoring and support.  Once trained, you will be eligible to officiate in UQFC games not covered by Football Brisbane.

UQFC sends out a request for referees for the following season towards the end of the previous year, and runs training courses in January to March of each year.
